Well, we did it! Although we’ve got a long way to go, Sew Materialistic has finally opened our doors at 1131 McDonald Ave.
We are very centrally located. To get to us: step off the F train on Ave I; or get off the B11 on Ave I and turn the corner; or take the B6 to Bay Parkway & McDonald and walk 3 blocks; or take your car, there usually is plenty of parking (although we hope to cause some extra traffic!).
Our new neighborhood is in between Flatbush & Boro Park. Can I mention neighbors?! 1131 McDonald Ave is two doors down from Curves & Yoga on one side, and two doors from Kids in Action on the other. You can always do your fruits &/or groceries at the same time. J stores is a half block away. Did I mention Amazing Savings?
Besides being so well located at 1131 McDonald Ave., Sew Materialistic is pleased to offer our new image, too. We are now a fully stocked quilting store. We will be happy to try to order anything we do not carry.
A new roster of classes will begin in September. We are starting with beginners sewing and quilting classes for children and adults in July. Call for more details at 718-338-6104.
Our yarn department, Roxy Yarns will be open this summer. Please call 347-694-5494 for details.
Hope to see you soon at 1131 McDonald Ave.

Basic Quilting Class by Sarah Vinson:
The basic sampler was designed for the beginner or new quilter that would like to brush up on their quilting skills.
Join us for a fun filled 8 sessions; and learn to measure, cut, and sew this easy 4 block sampler complete with sashing and borders. Once your quilt top is completed, we will add the back, batting and stitch in the ditch. Add the binding and your quilt is done. You will be well on your way to becoming a great quilter. Have fun and enjoy every minute of it!
Sewing machines will be provided in class but some sewing will need to be done at home. Many handouts will be given out during the class.
